Something strange happened – for the first time since the Express Entry application process began in 2015, the CRS score dropped below 100. Express Entry (EE) is the online application process for FSW or Federal Skilled Worker category.

In this month’s draw (13 February 2021), the score dropped to 75 when the authorities issued 27,332 invitations to apply for PR under the Canadian Experience Class. In two EE draws in January, the cut-off score were 545 and 461.

However, the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) category, the score in February draw remained high at 720. Last month, it were 741 and 813.

IRCC said “we rank Express Entry candidates in the pool using a points-based system called the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). About every 2 weeks, we invite the top candidates in the pool to apply for permanent residence during rounds of invitations.”

The table in the link below lists all the Express Entry rounds of invitations.
